During the visit, a detailed discussion was held on fostering institutional collaboration to promote arbitration, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms across the SAARC region.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Mah Jabeen Khan Abbasi, Member National Assembly of Pakistan; Mr. Raja Naeem Akbar, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice; Ms. Aisha Rasool, Project Director IMAC and Senior Consultant, Ministry of Law & Justice; Mr. Khurram Shahzad Mughal, Member Governing Board, SARCO; Mr. Ehsan Ullah Khan, Registrar IMAC; and Mr. Gulfam Hameed, Additional Director, CAMS.

The participants exchanged views on strengthening regional cooperation, capacity-building initiatives, and knowledge-sharing between IMAC and SARCO.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Raja Naeem Akbar, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for SARCO’s mandate and its vital role in promoting regional harmony through arbitration and conciliation.

IMAC looks forward to deepening its partnership with SAARC Arbitration Council (SARCO) to contribute to the development of a robust and cooperative ADR ecosystem in the region.
