IMAC and Madina Foundation Successfully Conduct Two-Day Introductory Training on Arbitration in Faisalabad

The International Mediation & Arbitration Centre (IMAC), established under the Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Madina Foundation, successfully organized a Two-Day Introductory Training on Arbitration at The University of Faisalabad on August 25–26, 2025.
The program was formally inaugurated on August 25, 2025, with Honorable Mr. Irshad Hussain, Chief Commissioner RTO Faisalabad, as Chief Guest. Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Haider Amin, Chairman Madina Foundation, warmly welcomed the participants and IMAC representatives, assuring continued support of the Foundation in promoting Mediation and Arbitration in Pakistan. The opening session underscored the shared mission of IMAC and Madina Foundation to strengthen ADR practices in the country.
Following the inauguration, the participants — comprising lawyers, government officers, and academics — attended a series of interactive training sessions. These were led by internationally recognized experts, Mian Shiraz Javed and Mr. Saeed Hammad Gilani, who introduced the fundamentals of Arbitration, principles of ADR, and its growing global relevance.
On the second day, August 26, 2025, the training advanced into remaining modules and case-based discussions, offering insights into the applicability of ADR within Pakistan’s legal and institutional framework. Participants expressed strong appreciation for the sessions, noting ADR’s value as both a professional specialization and a practical mechanism for dispute resolution.
The training concluded with a dignified Closing Ceremony presided over by Prof. Dr. Amanullah Malik, Rector, The University of Faisalabad. In his address, Prof. Malik termed the training highly fruitful and assured continued academic support for such initiatives. Certificates of participation were awarded by IMAC, while gifts were presented by Madina Foundation. Organizers and facilitators were also acknowledged for their contributions. Mr. Ehsanullah Khan Masood, Registrar IMAC, extended gratitude to Madina Foundation and reaffirmed IMAC’s resolve to continue advancing Mediation and Arbitration nationwide.
This program marked the first collaborative initiative between IMAC and Madina Foundation since the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation on July 31, 2025. The activity was widely regarded as a resounding success, characterized by enthusiastic participation, constructive dialogue, and a professional learning environment.
