About this Training

This two-day Mediation Training for Judicial Officers was conducted in Quetta with the objective of enhancing judges’ and magistrates’ understanding of mediation as a vital complement to adjudication. The program was facilitated by IMAC in collaboration with provincial judicial training bodies.

The training focused on equipping judicial officers with the skills to encourage, manage, and oversee mediation processes within the court system, thereby reducing case backlogs and ensuring expeditious justice delivery.

Day 1 of the training introduced mediation philosophy, conflict theory, negotiation frameworks, and mediation ethics. Day 2 included role-playing, case simulations, and practical exercises tailored to judicial officers’ functions.

The training emphasized the integration of mediation into the judicial process while respecting judicial independence and authority.

It offered both conceptual grounding and experiential learning, ensuring that participants could apply mediation techniques effectively in their official roles.
