Introductory Mediation Training in Faisalabad

A structured two-day training program on mediation, designed to build fundamental knowledge and practical skills for dispute resolution.

About this Training

This training was conducted at The University of Faisalabad, Faisalabad in collaboration with the Madina Foundation. It was developed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of mediation as a modern dispute resolution mechanism within Pakistan’s legal and social context.

The program offered an introduction to the ADR landscape, the philosophy and process of mediation, negotiation strategies, and ethical considerations for mediators. It emphasized both theoretical grounding and practical application, ensuring that participants developed the competence to engage with mediation professionally.

Day 1 of the training focused on the evolution of mediation, conflict theory, the stages of mediation, and the role of a mediator. Day 2 emphasized negotiation, exploration of disputes, problem-solving, and applied role-playing sessions. This combination of lectures, case studies, and simulations enabled participants to internalize both concepts and practice.

The training targeted legal professionals, academics, business representatives, and members of civil society who are directly or indirectly involved in conflict resolution. It was structured to broaden their professional toolkit by equipping them with mediation skills that align with contemporary ADR practices.
